PERSONFIRST FOUNDATION is a non-profit NGO working to develop para sports in general, with emphasis on para rowing, in India and globally. The Foundation’s focus is primarily on providing an enabling environment to para sportspersons at the grassroots level, to bring them out of the shadows of the society, assist in provision of training related requirements in pursuit of excellence and all-round personality development. We, at PERSONFIRST, are of the firm belief, that a ‘determined person will be undeterred with difficulties of life’ and that sports are one of the most effective mediums, apart from education, for holistic rehabilitation of persons with disability for their integration in an inclusive society. The Foundation believes that every person with disability, who has chosen to break the mould of the society and stepped up to the challenges of life, is an ‘Empowered’ person. We hope to be able to strengthen their determination and assist in building the foundations of their self-belief, self-esteem and becoming a champion in life.
